Unyerre apele yerre alkwentye akngerre, ahelhe arhethe-ke arenye, itne kwatye ahelhe terte-ntyele ingke arrakerte werne groove yenpe itne-kenhe scale mpele.
Unyerre is Central Arrernte and means thorny devil. Eastern Arrernte call it ankerrthe. It is mostly found in red sand country. They can bring water from the wet ground to their mouth between the grooves in their scales.
