Ntulye apele apwerte antherrtye-ntyele-le ulye. Mount Undoolya arritnye akenhe Merlknge arle.
Ntulye means a thick shadow cast by a solid object. The large hill called Mount Undoolya and surrounding areas has an Arrernte name, Merlknge. Undoolya was the name given to the area by the white fellas.
